Frequently Asked Questions
What does an average day of camp look like?
A camper can look forward to many activities in a day. Each day will involve small group master classes, a lesson on musical topics like composers and techniques. Each day we will include a novel artistic class to the likes of painting, yoga, singing, acting improvisation and composition.
How many campers will there be?
Camp will not exceed 24 Campers. By keeping this limit on admission, our staff can deliver superior instruction and keep our campers engaged. Our staff to camper ratio is 5:1.
What makes this piano camp different from other camps?
We know that our students love piano. And we do too! We believe becoming a better pianist involves a deeper connection to practice in piano but in other art forms. We find that while students are led by instructors, they gain a lot from their peers. Our intention is that by the end of the week, campers find their own individual voice as an artist.
What should my child bring to camp?
They should wear comfortable clothing, bring in a solo piano piece that needs polishing and preparation for the recital. Campers should bring their bags and folders which includes schedule and music. Masks are optional but encouraged when you’re not feeling well.
What will camp look like with COVID?
Campers and instructors will follow procedures directed by the CDC and practice safe social distancing when possible. While the future is uncertain, at this time, the camp will comply with Prince of Peace Lutheran Church’s COVID policy. Click here to see our full COVID policy.
Is there After-Care
